Our vision is to make authentic Indian crafts increasingly accessible and for them to occupy a space in every wardrobe around the globe.

Mission

To preserve and promote India’s rich textile heritage through handcrafted products by empowering artisans and weavers.b

Our Story

Kharaa was founded April 2024 by Krutika Chauhan, a Chartered Accountant who chose to follow her heart into the world of textiles. She wanted to create a platform that celebrates the artistry of Indian weavers and artisans, by sourcing the products directly from them, hence Kharaa was formed.
In our very first year we have partnered with artisans from 8 craft clusters, and going forward aim to include crafts from across the country to keep alive the beauty and soul of India’s cultural legacy.

Our Founder

Kharaa was born out of the passion and vision of our founder Krutika, a Chartered Accountant by qualification. Post qualifying, Krutika realized her true calling lay in preserving India’s rich heritage of handloom and craftsmanship. She travelled to different craft clusters starting with Rajasthan and Gujarat to learn more about the crafts and source from them, which lay the foundation of Kharaa.
Each product is hand-picked by her because she believes that only those that she’d love in her wardrobe would make it to Kharaa’s collections.

People Behind Us

Kharaa is built on the skill and dedication of our artisans and weavers. Their craft, passed down through generations, brings our textiles to life. Kharaa is not just a brand – it’s a community that thrives on the passion and craftsmanship of the hands behind each product.

At the moment, Kharaa offers handcrafted sarees, unstitched suits, dupattas, fabrics, kaftans and other accessories from different states. We hope to expand our operations to include ready-made apparels in the future and also collaborate with craftsmen from more regions.

How do you ensure the quality of Kharaa products
Our products are sourced only from those vendors that use the highest quality of fabrics, mainly natural and have been practicing their craft for generations. On receiving the products at our warehouse, a thorough quality check is done before stocking them up, to ensure only the best is delivered to our customers.
At Kharaa we believe in compassion towards animals hence we use only natural, plant-based fabrics like different varieties of cotton and linen. We do not use silk and wool as these are derived from animals. We also refrain from using synthetic fabrics that are a potential harm to the skin and the environment.
We trust you to take care of your handcrafted purchases, hence please refer to the care and maintenance section under each product for the instructions. Following those would ensure the longevity of the products.
We do not ship internationally yet. We hope to provide that service soon enough.
We do not take bulk orders yet. For any kind of collaborations, please DM us on our Instagram page (@kharaaofficial). We look forward to any kind of work that helps us in promoting our cause further.
